During the coastal & transitional water survey in Azerbaijan, water will be sampled in several locations, such as Shurabad, Turkan, Baku Bay and the Kura delta from June 12th to June 15th  ; during the survey, the temperature, salt levels and turbidity of the water will be measured in situ, while probes for the determination of dissolved oxygen, nutrients and phytoplankton will also be taken.

The samples will then be studied in laboratories on June 16th and 17th.

Workshop objectives, expected outputs and outcomes

The meeting focusses on two aspects

• Joint assessment of available Global and National land monitoring data
• Preparation and decision on a use case in a collaboration project on the usage of High resolution data (HRVPP) for national assessments in a pilot area (covered by Europe`s Copernicus HRVPP service)
